The main goal of a preparatory visit is to make concrete plans for a collaboration project in order to submit a full application before the program's next deadline of 1st February 2018. Institutions and organizations can apply for grants for preparatory visits within Nordplus Junior, Nordplus Adult and Nordplus Nordic Languages.
Nordplus Nordic Languages
The programme supports the establishment of networks with actors within the field of language – or different project cooperations within the field of language.
The aim of Nordplus Nordic Languages is on one hand to support activities that strengthen language comprehension of the Nordic languages, primarily Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, among children and young people – and on the other hand to develop materials, methods and strategies for improving comprehension of the Nordic languages on all levels within the educational systems.

Nordplus Junior
Elementary Schools, secondary schools and kindergartens can now apply for grants for travel and accommodation for meetings with prospective partners.
A Nordplus Junior cooperation is a great way to bring new ideas and perspectives into teaching. It also gives students and teachers the opportunity to personally get acquainted with the Nordic and Baltic countries' culture, lifestyle, values, norms, language, nature and much more.

Nordplus Adult
All types of institutions and organizations working with adult learning, now also have the opportunity to seek grants for travel and accommodation for network meetings with prospective partners.
Teaming up for a Nordplus Adult project cooperation is an exciting opportunity to improve learning on a national level, by developing transnational mobility across the Nordic and Baltic countries. Nordplus Adult provides the opportunity to develop common teaching materials, methods and concepts, as well as mapping projects aimed at studies, analysis and data collection on specific issues and trends in the adult education sector in the Nordic / Baltic countries.

The fine print
It is a requirement that at least two schools / institutions from at least two different Nordplus countries participate in the application for a preparatory visit.
The meeting must take place between the time of the grant is given and the end of the school year 2017/18.
A preparatory visit may last a maximum of five days, including travel. The grant is calculated on fixed rates, with no budget outline required.

About Nordplus
Nordplus is the Nordic Council of Ministers network and mobility programme.
Project support includes grants for networking across countries for the exchange of knowledge and experience in a particular theme, topic or challenge you have in common.
For each program the participating countries include the Nordic countries Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland, and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The Nordic autonomous areas of Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Aaland are participating as individual countries on equal footing with the other countries.
The deadline of the programmes is 1st February each year.
