Extraordinary application round for language projects

Institutions and organizations can now apply for grants for projects within Nordic languages. Deadline is October 1, 2015.

 

Institutions and organizations can now apply for grants for projects within Nordic languages. This is done through the Nordic Council’s educational programme Nordplus. The application deadline is October 1, 2015.

Nordplus Nordic Languages will hold an additional round of applications in 2015 for funding for networking and project cooperation. The program is for all education sectors in the Nordic and Baltic countries, and has two main objectives:

  • To support activities that enhance children's and young people's understanding of language in Nordic languages – mainly Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.
  • To develop materials, methods and strategies to strengthen Nordic language understanding at all levels of the education system.

Projects must support the overall objectives to be considered for grants.

Focus on networking

For this application round Nordplus Nordic Languages emphasizes networking within the area of Nordic language across the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The purpose of the network is to share experiences within the Nordic language and suit the participants to apply for grants for higher education projects in future application rounds. In addition, Nordplus Nordic Languages offer grants to the development of education materials, new methods and strategies to strengthen language understanding and the organization of conferences, courses or development of publications.

Who can apply

All types of institutions and organizations working with education, can apply for grants through Nordplus Nordic Languages. A precondition for the grant is that the partnership consists of three Nordic and / or Baltic countries. One organization will apply on behalf of the partnership. Please note that individuals cannot apply.

Information meeting 2015

Nordplus will hold a series of information sessions in the fall. Date and place will be advertised on nordplusonline.org.

Application deadline

The application deadline is Thursday, 1 October 2015. Applications must be submitted thruogh Nordplus’ electronic application system, Espresso. Note that the application must be written in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian. You register and get access to Espresso via the following link:
