Study visits

Schools and local educational departments.

You can apply for funding to arrange study visits to other organisations. The visit should provide new knowledge, experiences and perspectives.

With support from Nordplus Study Visits, schools and local educational departments can arrange visits to another school, educational organisation, authority, legal body research center or company.

The visit should provide new knowledge, experience and perspectives relevant for professions within the education sector. It should be embedded in the strategic development work and in the long term contribute to pupils’ achievement of learning outcomes.

A study visit is also a good first step into a future Nordplus Junior project.

Teachers, school leaders, other educational staff and staff at local educational departments may participate.

It is possible to receive funding for two to five people per participating country. We grant funding for travel and accommodation costs.

A study visit may last up to five days including travel days. The visit is carried out at one of the schools or organisations that participate. The visit usually lasts two to three days excluding travel days

It is possible to apply for funding within Nordplus Study Visits once a year. The deadline is October 1, or the next following date if the 1:st is on a public holiday.

Applications are submitted online through the Nordic Council of Ministers’ application system Espresso. The application opens no later than one month before the deadline.

Notification of whether the application has been granted or not will be given no later than 1 November.

You report the study visit through the Nordic Council of Ministers’ reporting tool Espresso. The report must be submitted no later than 30 days after the end of the project period.
