Study visits

Nordplus study visits offer schools and education administrations the opportunity to gain new insights and inspiration through visits to other organisations across the Nordic–Baltic region.

With support from Nordplus study visits, schools and local education authorities can organise visits to another organisation. The purpose of the visit is to provide new knowledge, experiences, and perspectives relevant to professionals in the education sector. It should be part of strategic development work and, in the long term, contribute to students’ achievement. A study visit is also a good first step towards a future Nordplus Junior project.

What you can apply for

You can apply for funding to cover travel and accommodation costs for staff participating in a study visit. Only visiting organisations are eligible for funding, not the host organisation.

You may receive funding for up to five participants per organisation for up to five days, including travel days.

How to apply

It is possible to apply for funding for Nordplus study visits once per year. The application deadline is 1 October, or the next working day if 1 October falls on a weekend or public holiday.

Applications must be submitted online via the Nordic Council of Ministers’ application system, Espresso. The application form opens no later than one month before the application deadline.

Decisions on whether applications have been approved are communicated no later than 1 November.

Reporting

After the study visit, you must submit a report via the Nordic Council of Ministers’ reporting tool, Espresso. The report must be submitted no later than 30 days after the end of the project period.
