Grants and inclusion support

Nordplus grants are primarily based on unit costs (fixed rates). Grants from Nordplus are contributions to project expenses and all participating organisations must therefore expect some degree of co-financing.

Costs that can be included in the grant and more detailed terms for using grants are defined in the sub-programme chapters.

Inclusion Support

Nordplus is the educational programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers and one of the objectives of the programme is to work towards the Nordic Vision 2030. To achieve the part of the vision, a socially sustainable Nordic Region, inclusion is prioritized. To promote an inclusive, equal and interconnected region with shared values and strengthened cultural exchange and welfare.

To achieve this the Nordplus programme is committed to be inclusive and open for everyone. Nordplus places strong emphasis on ensuring equal participation in all sub-programmes. This is done through additional financial support, aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by participants from diverse backgrounds.

Eligibility for Inclusion Support

Nordplus offers inclusion support to projects that involve participants who might face barriers to full participation due to disabilities or health issues.

Participants who live in or travelling to rural areas, far away from international airports can apply for Domestic Travel support. Note that this support is only available to apply for in the application process, not afterwards.

Application for Inclusion Support

Institutions and organisations participating in Nordplus can apply for inclusion support for participants as part of their project proposals. This application should detail the specific needs of participants and the intended use of funds to facilitate inclusive participation. However, it is also possible to apply for inclusion support during the project implementation directly to the programme administrators. It's important to note that applications from individual persons are not accepted. For more information see the chapter for each sub-programme on how to apply.
