Nordplus data policy

Nordplus is the largest educational grant programme from the Nordic Council of Ministers. Nordplus comprises five sub-programmes which together cover all levels of education. From early childhood, school and upper secondary to higher education and adult learning.

Nordplus is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. Nordplus emphasizes that the handling of your personal information is done in a safe and secure manner. Details about the data controller of your personal information

When Nordplus processes your personal information under this Privacy Policy, The Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) acts as the main coordinator for Nordplus and is considered to be the “data controller” of your personal information for joint communication channels, programme coordination, and maintaining the Nordplus website. The national agency responsible for each sub-programme is considered to be the “data controller” of your personal information.

Personal Data We Process

Application details (name, email, DOB, address, gender), educational and professional information, financial data for grant payments, project-related data, including past grants and communications.

Purposes & Legal Basis

Personal data is processed for evaluating applications, administering grants, reporting/statistics, legal compliance, and administrative tasks. Legal bases include contractual necessity, legal obligation, and consent when applicable.

Retention

Data is retained only as long as required for the above purposes and as mandated by law and national agency guidelines.

Data Sharing

Data may be shared with participating institutions, service providers for processing/storage, and authorities when legally required.

Transfers Outside the EEA

Any transfers to non-EEA countries involve appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
